About FIZ Future
FIZ Nord is the first milestone in the long-term FIZ Future programme: The BMW Group recognised years ago that, to meet the technological challenges of the 21st century, its development expertise would need to be expanded and reorganised. A masterplan was developed to extend the Research & Innovation Centre, FIZ, by as much as 50 percent. Known as the FIZ Future programme, the plan provides the organisational framework for increasing capacity and efficiency. FIZ Nord stands for interconnected workspaces and the pooling of skills – and underscores the BMW Group’s future focus and capability as an innovator.
